This work was done for In Your Dreams, an exhibition curated by Helen Sanderson. The brief was that the work had to fit into a box and would then be shown in Canada and Germany before coming back to Australia in 2008.

After being in the Italy and Greece I realized that votive offerings were part of many people’s lives – the act of owning one that related to the individual’s wish, through prayer could help that person to gain that wish – i.e. sight in an eye, become pregnant or find a husband.
