I wanted the books to be seen at eye level so that the work could be seen as a choir of voices
– the word reconciliation was on the left page of each book, while texts from newspaper clippings
and political speeches were embedded into the handmade paper on the right side of the book.
The text is sometimes hidden or stitched over to infer hidden agendas or the lack of power
of the Aboriginal voice.
